Optimal sites for your maximum potential.
Now more than ever, industrial decarbonization is a critical factor for manufacturers considering expansion or start-up of U.S.-based operations.
We specialize in identifying and meticulously analyzing the factors critical to your project’s feasibility and profitability:
- Competitively-priced renewable energy
- Access to low-carbon fuel sources
- Locations with viable pathways for CCUS
With over 25 years of experience, SDG helps manufacturers secure locations that achieve bottom-line results. Our team is especially adept working in the circular chemicals, hydrogen production, and material recycling sectors.
We have earned a reputation for navigating the complexities of site selection to deliver the best possible location for your project. We will protect your bottom line, providing you with the optimal site and incentive package to mitigate your costs.
Our expert team is here to guide you every step of the way so you can move forward with your business – without looking back.
The Process
Based on your company’s facility requirements, we utilize our site databases along with government and business relationships to identify candidate sites.
We then apply a proven screening methodology to evaluate those sites. Critical factors analyzed in this process include feedstock availability, decarbonization pathways, logistics infrastructure, utility assets, labor draw potential, and site suitability.
Once we identify the most appropriate sites, we evaluate the costs and risks associated with each site. Our process is designed to provide you with trusted guidance and allow you to remain focused on your business.
Incentive Negotiation
We focus on your capital investment and operating costs and do not stop until we have uncovered every possible approach to minimizing those costs.
We evaluate any potential tool, including grants, taxes, utilities, training, infrastructure installation, and more. In recent years, this included evaluating the new and expanded tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.
Case Study
Encina is an advanced manufacturer on a mission to catalyze the transition to a sustainable, circular economy. It recently deployed new technology to convert post-consumer waste into raw, virgin-quality material. Encina hired SDG to determine a search region for Encina’s first full-scale production facility.
