Mark Williams, SDG Founder and President, Brad Marks, Vice President of Global Operations at Firestone Airide

Strategic Development Group, Inc. (SDG) is pleased to announce that our client, Firestone Industrial Products, a division of Bridgestone, is investing $8.9 million to expand its Firestone Airide facility in Dyersburg, Tennessee. The expansion includes a new warehouse center and small box kitting operation at the current facility. The 80,000-square-foot addition will create 41 new jobs.

This move aims to enhance the company’s air spring production and distribution worldwide. With over 80 years of experience, Firestone focuses on designing and manufacturing air springs and related products for the automotive, heavy-duty, and off-highway segments. Their products continue to incorporate state-of-the-art technologies that create value, comfort, and sustainability.

SDG worked with the Firestone Industrial Products team to complete a competitive site location analysis, evaluating sites in multiple Midwest states. Our SDG team also negotiated incentives with the State of Tennessee, Dyer County, and the Tennessee Valley Authority. SDG’s Founder and President, Mark Williams, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 17 at the new facility. Many key economic development figures who supported the project, including Tennessee ECD Commissioner Stuart McWhorter, celebrated this announcement with the Firestone Airide team.
