Company investing additional $15 million and creating 125 new jobs

Strategic Development Group (SDG), one of the nation’s leading corporate site selection and economic development consultants, has helped Nutramax Laboratories expand their Lancaster County operations. Nutramax, a leading manufacturer of nutritional supplement products for people and their pets, will invest $15 million and create 125 new jobs.  Governor Nikki Haley joined the Nutramax executive team and other distinguished guests to announce this expansion at Nutramax’s Lancaster, SC facility earlier this week.  SDG also directed Nutramax’s 2010 multi-state site search and incentive negotiations that resulted in the original Lancaster, SC locations.

To service rapidly growing demand for its animal health products, Nutramax has purchased a 138,000 square-foot building, located on Flat Creek Road in Lancaster, to expand its local footprint. The new facility will complement the company’s existing Lancaster facilities located at 946 & 851 Quality Drive.

The South Carolina Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits, as well as a Rural Infrastructure Fund grant, to assist with the costs of the Company’s real property improvements.  Duke Energy provided grant funds for infrastructure improvements and Lancaster County provided significant property tax incentives.

“It has been a privilege to work with the Nutramax executive team over the last six years to help them accommodate their rapid market penetration and overall growth and success,” said SDG President, Mark Williams. “This announcement will have a long-term positive impact on both Nutramax and the Lancaster community.”
